Brynden Trevelyan
24 - Inquisitor - Male - Straight - Human - Free Marcher - Warrior - Templar/Seeker
Brynden has grown much with the mark on his hand. When he first joined the Inquisition he was arrogant and quick to anger. Though as time went on and he took the All-Seeing Throne he became more and more like a leader should be. He is by no means a paragon of virtue but he has learned Leadership. He is fair and more than willing to show mercy to those who would surrender when asked but if denied he would be quick to order the quick and skilled blade of his armies or his own blade. If anything it is the honor of his house and himself that he took command of the faithful. He see's mages as a threat if not watched by the eye. Any Mage Rebellions are put down quickly and efficently by the Templar component of his army. People view him as a Beacon of hope and power in thedas and those that are fortunate enough to be considered his friend are often given large and gifts. | The Last son of the Great Trevelyan Lord Rodrik he is of noble blood. He was given the respect and privledges his birth deserved. He would often take his Fathers guard and ride around the city watching the people bow to him in respect. He liked the sense of power and respect he was given and that even carries on till now. He was given to the Chantry at ten to train as a Templar. He was put on the front lines before taking his vows and taking the skills. His Noble blood made him a perfect person to speak for the Lord Seeker. He was sent to speak on his behalf of the Lord Seeker. It was there his life changed forever. After hearing the Divine's screams he ran to help and was at the center of an explosion that killed thousands at the Temple of Sacred Ashes. In the Ashes the soldiers of the Order he would in time lead to a great victory found him almost dead. After an attempt to close the breach they decided they would create a Inquisition to close the breach. But first they'd consolidate their power in Thedas Keeper Lavellan, A Female Dalish Mage that he became acquaintances with at the Conclave went to meet the Mages whole he met with his Former Lord Seeker. Brynden fought his inner demons and conscripted the Templars to his side while the Keeper conscripted the mages forming a new College of Magi which was governed by the Inquisition and by the Templars. Soon the Chantry decided to stop going against the now large armies. But while the Templars moved to end the Rebellion and the Knight Enchanters sent letters to end the Rebellion without conflict there was a massive attack by a Cultist army. In Desperation Brynden, Cassandra, Thom Rainer (Known as Blackwall) and Solas defended the people and saved as many as they could before they were cut off and Brynden met with the Elder One where they fought with words and Brynden failed to attack. While being pushed against the balista he was able to cause an avalanch, Destroying Haven but also destroying what army the Elder one had. After the Battle at Haven with all hope lost Brynden found his way to the remaining Inquisition who was camped a few days away from Haven. Together they found their way to an old Fortress where the Inquisition found a home for it's forces. His forces built up Skyhold from an old ruined fortress and on the tenth day of fixing the Inquisitor was named. Brynden Trevelyan, Upon the steps of the fortress he was named Inquisitor, He drew the sword of the Inquisitor and accepted the place and ordered a Throne of Exquisiteness to be built where he sat in judgment of Alexius sentencing him to death by his own and and executed him along with several other Magisters. Knight Commander Denam was executed for his crimes along with any other Higher Officers who did not repent before Mother Giselle. With information guiding them to Hawke from the rogue Varric, Brynden moved his forces against the Grey Wardens and defeated them finding the truth about what happened at the Conclave and managed to save both Hawke and Alistair. He conscripted the Grey Wardens to his side and apart of the Inquistion. He soon sent an Diplomatic attache to the First Warden demanding the fealty of the whole order. A month later at the Orlesian Summer ball the Inquisitor met the Emperess along with his own Attche of Diplomats and Guards. He was instremental in dethroning Celene and placing Gaspard on the Throne. He made a quick and strong movement against the Elves which only ended in many dead. The Elves formed a quick and swift rebellion in the streets often killing Noblemen and others before almost going into thin air. Brynden moved the faithful armies to the Temple of Mythal and took the fight to the Armies of the Elder One and fought all the way to the temple making Morrigan drink from the well. After an encounter with Flemeth and a Dragon he went to the last stand with the Elder one and after a lengthy fight with both him and his mighty dragon Brynden defeated the Elder one and in the process destroyed the orb. Soon after with Solas gone he sent search parties but at the Fortress they rebuilt he threw a massive party in the name of his victories and the Inquisition's power. They confirmed their power in thedas with both politics and pure might and force. |
"All hail Lord Brynden Trevelyan, Sixth son of Lord Arthur Trevlyan. Commander of the Faithful, Closer of the breach and Leader of the Inquisition." The banners were fluttering in the wind as the Inquisitor and his Guard rode down the hill. His men flanking either side and Thom Rainer rode at his front. "Prince Consort Cousland, Queen Anora, King Andros, I have come to end your war, Not because I care if blood feuds or war happening but I have fought for so long for peace between Thedas and if I do not sanction a fucking war it will not happen. Is that Understood? I can raise half of Thedas to my side and both will feel my wroth. If needed I will crown two new Kings on the Morrow if needed. I have an Army to match both of yours on call. I do not wish to use such threats but I am not bandying empty words. If you do not come to terms I will bring you to heel myself in the name of peace." Brynden was loud and clear on what he wanted, On his hip was his Family's sword, A Horse head adorned the pommel and the steel was of great Dwarven craft a gift from the Dwarven king for House Trevelyan's aide in helping with some Darkspawn. The Inquisition profited from power granted from the monarch's powers that they gave, They all offered power once he was defeated. Tevinter was backing the Inquistion with Legions and coin, It was backing that Dorian argued with Brynden endlessly over but they seemed legitimate in their offer of armies and power over their people in exchange their customs were respected and slavery stayed in tact. The Inquisition accepted everything but needed time to think on accepting fealty. They sent the Legions to help keep the peace. When the armies met they formed inbetween the two armies and forced the two to pull back with no deaths. It was Diplomatic skill. |
