Duke Alaric de Chalons
Eighteen. Straight. Human. Duellist. Disputed Emperor.
ABOUT
Duke Alaric is the Second Child and First son of the Emperor. He was among the first of the chevalier's to lay his sword at his fathers feet which caused almost one hundred women and men that served beside him to put their swords at his fathers feet. He was born to be radiate both respect and wealth. He is a skilled dueilst and has championed for his father in the last few years in his declining health.
Alaric is arrogant and Prodigal with his wealth. He likes fine clothes and fine armor's. He is no stranger to the battlefield and combat but he is both suited for Commanding the front and the Castle. He is well received by any place that he is sent on diplomatic missions. But he is often critised by those from the chantry. Some calling him a Heretic and a non-believer. He does not openly pray or lead the chants of light as previous Prince's and Duke's had.
He is a strong believer that Mages should be watched carefully and bound and used for only advancing the life of Non-Mages and have no place on the battlefield.
After his Fathers death he quickly pushed away his sisters stronger claim due to the Chantry's new laws and said that a Mage has no right to rule in the Empire of Orlais. With the Claim disputed he has not been formally crowned but he and the Orlesian Army are ready to fight against any that would defy his claim.

Friends
Alaric has many allies within the Orlesian Nobility and has much respect within the Orlesian Army. He has a close circle of friends and allies which he keeps in good order. Any one that betrays his trust are often banished from his inner circle and do not reap the rewards that come with it.
FOES
Any one who denies his Claim as Emperor is an enemy of his. He also has a hate for Dwarves that he can't explain. Any one who thinks they are better than him will also have a problem with Alaric but he will persevere Dwarves and arrogance for the sake of ruling.
LOVERS
Alaric has had several lovers, Mainly out of Elven Serfs and Serving women in the castle. He has refrained from scandalous relationships but is now betrothed to Kimberly Pentaghast and he plans to stay loyal to her.
